I’m Fabian Wiesemüller, a roboticist and entrepreneur working at the interface of materials science and robotics. I’m the Co-Founder & CEO of FireDrone AG, where we develop heat-resilient drones for industrial inspection and firefighting. I studied Mechanical Engineering (BSc/MSc) at ETH Zürich and completed my Master’s thesis at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) as a visiting student researcher in aerospace/space-related engineering. I then earned a PhD in Robotics conducted across Imperial College London and Empa, focused on transient aerial robots and real-world environmental sensing. Today, alongside my startup work, I’m affiliated with EPFL as a postdoctoral researcher.
